Help me give back to a nonprofit organization that helps kids and families interacting with the child welfare system. CASA’s (court appointed special advocates) are appointed to cases where a child has experienced neglect and/or abuse to represent the kids’ best interest in court. CASA’s build a relationship with the child and get to know important adults in a child’s life like teachers, counselors, doctors, and family members in order to advocate for the kids needs. Lone Star CASA’s advocacy has a lasting impact on many children’s ability to achieve the safety and stability necessary for them to reach their full potential. Just last year, Lone Star CASA served 203 kids in Rockwall and Kaufman counties.
